Our environment can have a profound effect on our mood and overall wellbeing. At Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), this is all the more apparent, as children and families have to deal with intense stress and unfamiliar surroundings.
The range of support projects help to provide an enhanced patient and family experience. For example, a dedicated team of 38 charity-funded play experts interact with more than 160 patients and siblings each day to bring fun into the hospital and help patients come to terms with their illness.
GOSH Arts provide creative stimulation and brighten up the hospital community with art and live music. The Chaplaincy team provide support and advice for parents, and their accommodation services keep families together.
