Established in 1860, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home aims never to turn away a dog or cat in need of their help.
January is a particularly busy time for the Home with the influx of 'unwanted' Christmas pets.
The Home reunites lost dogs and cats with their owners through their Lost Dogs & Cats Line or care for them until new homes can be found, giving them shelter and the highest standards of veterinary care.
They were the first animal welfare organisation to establish a dedicated Behaviour Unit and their experienced staff give every animal that comes into their home a detailed temperament and behavioural assessment.
They offer extra training and socialisation to those that need it, and detailed help and advice to new pet owners through behaviour programmes and their Behaviour Advice Line.
Battersea Dogs & Cats Home also educate the public about every aspect of responsible pet ownership.
