Waste Terms and Conditions

Collection Criteria for printer cartridges and mobile phones

In order to comply with The Environmental Protection Act 1990 and to ensure that our collectors meet the requirements of their Duty of Care, Office Green continues to enforce a policy of ZERO WASTE TO LANDFILL.

As there has been a substantial increase in the cost of recycling and pre-treating waste products, Office Green can no longer pay for any collection that contains more than 10% waste. Examples of waste items include toner bottles, toner kits and ribbons although this list is not exhaustive.

To continue to meet the requirements of this policy it is necessary for Office Green to make a change to the collection criteria to cover the cost of safe, legal disposal of products that are deemed waste. Examples of waste items are toner bottles, toner kits and ribbons although this list is not exhaustive.

A collection of printer cartridges or mobile phones should only contain inkjet cartridges, toner/laser cartridges, and mobile phone handsets along with packaging necessary to ensure that the items are received intact.

Any collection containing more than 10% of waste items will unfortunately not qualify for a points balance regardless of the number of listed items included within the collection.

This will show on your Points Confirmation Form as ‘NO POINTS RECEIVED THIS COLLECTION – IN EXCESS OF 10% WASTE’, with a claim value of ‘£0’.

All other terms and conditions apply.
